宮下 信顕

■PROFILE　

1972年長野県生まれ。1995年東京理科大学理工学部建築学科卒業（卒業設計最優秀賞）。1997年同大学大学院修士課程修了後、大手ゼネコン入社。2001年カーサブルータスの建築家特集「注目の若手建築家世界の10人+日本の10人」に取り上げられる。2009年には日経アーキテクチュア誌の「注目の10人」の一人として、2012年には建築学生のハローワーク（彰国社）にて「伝説のコンペキラー」として掲載される。また2015年には東京新宿歌舞伎町中心部の再開発プロジェクトである新宿東宝ビル（TOHOシネマズ新宿・ホテルグレイスリー新宿他）にて、屋上に原寸大のゴジラを登場させる斬新な設計手法が話題となる。2011〜17年東京理科大学非常勤講師。2017年エムアールスタジオ株式会社一級建築士事務所設立。現在は同社代表取締役としてデザイン監修業務を中心に、オフィス・ホテル・商業・文化施設・住宅・工場・大規模複合建築設計まで幅広い領域で活動中。

主な受賞歴としてAIA International Design Awards・シカゴ・アテナイオン国際建築賞(International Architecture Awards）・Red Dot Design Award・ iF Design Award・Good Design Awards(Chicago Athenaeum presents)・A' Design Award（GOLD）・German Design Awards・日本建築学会作品選奨等、300件を超える国内外のデザインアワードを受賞。国際建築賞「The Global Architecture Design Awards（GADA）」「4 Future Awards（カナダ）」他の審査員に就任する等、世界的評価を際立たせている。
